brand new t-shirt designs on the shop

Hi,

I’m not super comfortable with writing, but I want to share more about me and my art—so I’m starting this newsletter. Nothing too frequent, maybe every 1–3 months, with new art, thoughts, and bits of inspiration.

Welcome, and thank you for being here. It means a lot to have you in this more intimate space around my work!

I don’t always “own” my art enough, I struggle to keep it alive once it’s “out there” and I’ve reflected on this a lot lately. I’d like to change that, by creating more content on socials as well as reshape our portfolio. This newsletter is part of that shift.

Let’s dive into the new portfolio:

  • First and foremost, I’ve rewritten the landing page intro, and the way we present ourselves. I’m never sure which niche of art we fit in, but dark fantasy is where my heart’s at, so that’s how I decided to present our work.

  • There’s a new small wallpaper section. Nothing major, but it’s the first time I’ve adapted my work into formats meant for everyday use. Again, a tiny way to own my art a bit more. These wallpapers sit nicely on a phone—feel free to try them (simply click on the image you want, and it will be downloaded). I’ll update this section from time to time with new art.

  • A new shop. Selling my art hasn’t been a big focus until now, mostly because I never found the right setup. I’m glad to have finally discovered something that works and encapsulates all I need, which is quality products, and easy, affordable shipping worldwide. This new shop does print on demand (as you’d expect) for art prints but also for apparel. I’ve had t-shirt ideas and sketches on the side for years now and although you might expect these to be different from my typical art, it’s a part of my creative pursuits that I really want to share more, and if people want to flex those illustrations, it’ll definitely make me happy. Expect no more than 2 or 3 different designs at any given moment, with new ones coming every few months. This “micro brand” is called Endless Pursuit.

Inspiration of the month:

To finish up these letters, I’d like to share a piece of inspiration each time. It might be an old book I found, a specific artwork I’m obsessed with, or, like in this case, music. I listen to A LOT of music, and very different things. I’m often asked what inspires me visually, but to be honest, music is what inspires me the most, in the moment, when I'm drawing and fleshing out new worlds.

This is a d&b track I came across recently, Holy Moly by Document One. It’s quite intense, but reminded me of the energy of The Prodigy which I listened to a lot as a kid.

That’s it for this one. I’m excited for these letters, I hope you’ll enjoy reading them as much as I enjoy writing them!

see you soon

PS1: you might read me say “my” or “our” when it comes to our art - that’s because my wife, Elsa, has been a part of the journey for years now. Most of you probably know this already, but for those who don’t, I’ll get more in detail in a future letter.

PS2: if you’re interested in the shop, make sure to use code SUMMER15 to get 15% off on prints! (as well as free shipping for orders over 75$ - even without the promo code)
